The nonlocal nature of quantum information is revealed when a set of orthogonal states cannot be locally distinguished. The local quantum state discrimination is the basis of quantum information processing. In this talk, we present the local discrimination of sets of maximally entangled states (MESs) including local distinguishability of MES sets, local indistinguishability of MES sets, and the difference between one-way LOCC and two-way LOCC.
