In this talk, we will introduce the mathematical theory on the Bernoulli-type free boundary problem, including the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the free boundary problem and the regularity of the free boundary. Moreover, as an important application of this theory, we will introduce the recent existence results on the steady incompressible inviscid impinging jets with gravity.
