主讲人简介:
魏悦广,中国科学院院士,国际著名力学家,北京大学力学与工程科学系教授。魏悦广于1992年获清华大学工程力学系固体力学专业博士学位后进入中国科学院力学研究所工作,1995年至1998年在美国哈佛大学作访问学者、博士后,1998年起为中国科学院力学研究所研究员,2016年11月至今为北京大学力学与工程科学系教授。魏悦广院士获得了众多学术荣誉,主要包括1994年获第四届中国青年科技奖;1998年入选中科院“百人计划”;1999年获国家杰出青年基金资助;2012年任国家973项目首席科学家;1995年获国家自然科学三等奖;2008年及2013年两次获国家自然科学二等奖,现担任《力学学报》主编、《Engineering Fracture Mechanics》等10余个国内外期刊的副主编和编委。
魏悦广院士的主要研究工作涉及固体力学的多个方向,包括固体材料的跨尺度力学研究、材料微尺度力学理论、实验和尺度效应研究以及弹塑性断裂力学等。20年多年以来,魏悦广院士一直致力于发展跨尺度力学的理论与方法,并将其应用于表征和确定先进材料的强度、韧性以及失效机制。近些年来,魏悦广院士系统性的利用跨尺度力学理论描述了包括薄膜脱胶、热障涂层失效机制、纳米结构材料的性能表征以及微米尺度摩擦等先进材料中的复杂固体力学现象,取得了重要的学术成果。
Brief Introduction of Professor Yueguang Wei
Prof. Yueguang Wei is a world-renowned mechanics researcher, and has been a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2017. He received a doctorate from Department of Engineering Mechanics of Tsinghua University in 1992 and started his research career in the institute of mechanics, CAS. After postdoctoral training from 1995 to 1998 at Harvard University, he got a professor position in institute of mechanics, CAS. He is currently a professor in Department of Mechanics and Engineering Science, Peking University.
Prof. Wei received Youth Science and technology award of China in 1994. In 1998, he was elected as a member in “Bai-Ren” Project of the CAS. He won the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation in 1999 and became a chief scientist of National 973 Project in 2012. He won the second prize of the national natural science award twice in 2008 and 2013, and also won the third prize of the national natural science award once in 1995.
Prof. Wei conducts research in multiple area in solid mechanics including trans-scale mechanics of solid materials, theoretical, experimental and size effect studies of materials at micro/nano scale, elastic/plastic fracture of solids, etc. For more than two decades, Prof. Wei developed the theory and methods of the trans-scale mechanics, and he applied the theory and methods to the characterizations of strength, toughness and failure of the advanced materials. Recently, Prof. Wei systematically used the above theory and method to describe the thin film delamination, the failures of thermal barrier coating system, the property characterizations of nanostructured materials, as well as micro-scale friction and other issues.
